Everyone at Harvest City Church is celebrating a fantastic week for the City of Leicester. After Tottenham and Chelsea drew 2-2, the Foxes secured the Premier League with two games still to play. They join Leicester’s Mark Selby (who became the World Snooker Champion for the second time) and Leicester Riders (who have won two titles this season and are in the play-off final in May) in achieving sporting success for the city this year.

The experts gave Leicester City no chance at all, they predicted relegation for the team and that Claudio Ranieri would be the first Premier League manager to be sacked. But the impossible became possible and players like Vardy, Mahrez, Kante and Morgan have become household names.

It surely reminds us that our God is the God of the impossible and that no matter how desperate our situation is we can trust him to see us through.

Jesus looked at them intently and said, “Humanly speaking, it is impossible. But with God everything is possible.” (Matthew 19:26, NLT)

Walking around the city and at the King Power Stadium you can see how excited and proud we all are, we thank God for the great city we live in and look forward to more success in the future, come on Leicester!
