The government has issued further guidance regarding the spread of COVID-19 and as such the church is putting in some further changes so that we can continue to provide a safe environment for everyone.
Firstly, we are advising that anyone over the age of 70 or anyone that has a chronic illness should not come to any church activities. We will have the facility to watch our services online so you will not miss out on anything.
Secondly, please follow the governments guidelines regarding self-isolation i.e.
- if you live alone and you have symptoms of coronavirus illness (COVID-19), however mild, stay at home for 7 days from when your symptoms started.
- if you live with others and you or one of them have symptoms of coronavirus, then all household members must stay at home and not leave the house for 14 days. The 14-day period starts from the day when the first person in the house became ill
- for anyone in the household who starts displaying symptoms, they need to stay at home for 7 days from when the symptoms appeared, regardless of what day they are on in the original 14-day isolation period.

Regarding our Church services
We have also made some changes to our services as follows.
- We will be meeting at Judgemeadow tonight as usual.
- This Sunday (22nd March) we will be meeting at St John’s Street. There will be two services, 10.30–11.30am and 12–1pm. We will let you know which service will be for you later in the week.
- TNL on the 24th March (next week) will take place at St John’s Street from 7.30–9pm.
- If you are going through Partnership Classes, Cory will be sending some updates through to you.
We want everyone to be warmly welcomed as they come into church but bearing in mind the circumstances could we ask that you avoid physical contact with others if possible. We know this will be difficult as we all enjoy a good handshake and hug!
Please be assured that we will be putting some extra hygiene and cleaning measures in place to keep St John’s clean.
Also, could we ask that people continue to donate to Acts of Kindness as we want to be able to help those that are in real need in this testing time.
We appreciate that this is a difficult time but we have a great God and he is working on our behalf. If we depend on Him, he will not let us down!
‘For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.’ (2 Timothy 1:7).
Finally, let’s keep in touch with each other, we don’t want anyone in our church family to feel lonely or abandoned at this time. It would be great if you could keep in touch with each other by phone or even by Whatsapp, Facetime or Skype!
