Matthew 28:18-20 (NLT) – Jesus came and told his disciples, “I have been given all authority in heaven and on earth. Therefore, go and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit. Teach these new disciples to obey all the commands I have given you. And be sure of this: I am with you always, even to the end of the age.”

The greatest thing we can ever do for Christ – more than seeing the sick healed, the lame walk, or even the dead raised back to life – is to lead people to Jesus. This is our calling, and this was the command given to us by Christ Himself. We are not just making believers but disciples. Believers can doubt, but disciples will go the grave because of their conviction. Even after seeing miracles believers can doubt!

Matthew 28:17 (NLT) – When they saw him, they worshiped him—but some of them doubted!

Many believers, and even churches, get sidetracked by running after the supernatural, flying to far-flung places to see the ‘amazing’ and the ‘dynamic.’ You don’t need to fly to ends of the earth, just cross the road or speak to those around you who don’t know Christ. We are all called to build His Church by reaching souls right where we are. If you reach souls without putting them in Church, it’s not part of God plan; it’s like having children and leaving them out on the streets! Church is God’s plan on the earth and we are to be 100 percent committed to building it.

Ephesians 3:10-11 (NLT) – God’s purpose in all this was to use the church to display his wisdom in its rich variety to all the unseen rulers and authorities in the heavenly places. This was his eternal plan, which he carried out through Christ Jesus our Lord.

His eternal plan, through Christ, was the Church. Once we see this and build what God is building, then true joy and fulfilment come and we walk as disciples, winning souls for His bride, the Church! Nothing excites me like seeing souls saved. On Saturday, for those of you who are part of our great church, we had a huge event in which we saw many souls came to Jesus! Many of you were involved in reaching them and praying with them; please remember to keep connecting with them as they are now precious new babies in His plan, the Church. All the gifts that God has given to us were given to build the Church, not a ministry or a name. We are not to look for fame but to lift the name of Jesus high! Let me leave you with a great scripture to read and pray through. If you have a revelation of this scripture then reaching souls will make sense to you.

Ephesians 4:11-16 (NLT) – Now these are the gifts Christ gave to the church: the apostles, the prophets, the evangelists, and the pastors and teachers. Their responsibility is to equip God’s people to do his work and build up the church, the body of Christ. This will continue until we all come to such unity in our faith and knowledge of God’s Son that we will be mature in the Lord, measuring up to the full and complete standard of Christ.
Then we will no longer be immature like children. We won’t be tossed and blown about by every wind of new teaching. We will not be influenced when people try to trick us with lies so clever they sound like the truth. Instead, we will speak the truth in love, growing in every way more and more like Christ, who is the head of his body, the church. He makes the whole body fit together perfectly. As each part does its own special work, it helps the other parts grow, so that the whole body is healthy and growing and full of love.
